  1. Great tracks! The one big bit of Superman trivia you might have added was that he was Jewish, or at least Hebrew. Consider: http://forward.com/culture/178454/10-reasons-superman-is-really-jewish/
I LOVE the music to Star Cruiser, at least the PC-88 version. The Mega Drive tunes aren't nearly as good, and after listening to the X68000 OST, I think I still prefer the PC-88. It has a wistfulness that doesn't quite translate to the other versions.

My favorite tracks are Broker, and especially Rigil Kent System. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxeWQ2gfVPg The latter reminds me of walking down the hills on the outskirts of Tokyo while watching the sun come up on a Summery day. Not that I've had a chance to do that, but if I ever do, you can bet this will be playing in the background.

Man, it was pretty funny when you lost it over "Dork Kart", and hilarious when you mentioned "Sweet Musical Worm Meat". That's gotta be a first.

  2. Hey ND,

I couldn't help it. I just picture Mario Kart, only the drivers have nerdy tapped glasses and things like that. I want to draw a picture of it to express what I envision. Although people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, I suppose. Is a VGM podcast more of a nerd or dork situation? I think nerd.

I haven't heard the PC-88 version, but you know I love my Japanese Computer music, so I'm going to throw it today and check it out. I did listen to the Rigil Kent System track first, and I agree with your vibe! I've been humming the x68k Sirius System track to myself all day.

And yeah, sweet musical worm meat. Doesn't everyone call it that?!

I should have tagged this episode with it. Dang.
